Hi Fellas,

 

My start menu has just disappeard,  and according to task manager files it is diabled.

 

I have tried to enable it using tips from google, to no avail, but it does seem to be because it is corrupted?

 

I tried to follow reinstall instructions on the command prompt  thingy, but it would not do anything.

 

Error 87 was mentioned.

 

Any help to reinstate this would be gratefully received

Bring up system settings then go to accounts and create one. Logout or reboot and login to the new account.

It won't impact other info it's just a test to see if it's system wide or just a profile issue.

When you click attached batch script it will be downloaded and double-clicking the batch script will execute it.

Open the PowerShell as administrator and execute below code.

I have clicked on your link, and downloaded the result which consists of a box containing  a list of things whigh need to be checked.

 

I have double clicked it and nothing happens, I pressed Go and nothing happens?

Am I meant to check anything  or nothing?

I have tried all of the measures your post suggested and none of them will work.

They either lead to a message saying no results can be found or to Microsoft apps store and then  dead ends.

 

I cannot justify wasting you Gentlemens time, so perhaps I will see if I can get someone to reinstall the whole damn thing

So windows key lower left between ctrl and alt + r doesn't bring up run, and typing in ms-settings does nothing?
