Hello all,

I just discovered while trying to print from my Epson printer, an Epson "recipient settings" box opens when trying to print. My desktop is a Dell Inspiron 3847. Windows 10 Home Edition, 64-bit OS. I have a attached a screen shot to the post. Please help to try to disable or fix this issue. If there is any other information I can provide, please let me know.

Thanks much!

Yep, the system thinks the printer is a FAX machine. Of course you might have accidentally changed the default printer settings.

Your printer has FAX capability so check the settings. Running out of ink can give this symptom. some help in the link below including drivers etc.

Go to Printers & Scanners > Select the Printer > Manage > Set as default.  Try to print again.

You are in "Windows 10 Discussion" by the way and you should be in External Hardware.  Don't worry about it now staff will move it if they see fit.

If I don't reply right away it's because I'm waiting for Windows 10 to Update.

Hello all,

Thanks for the support. I went to Printers & Scanners > Selected the Printer > Manage.  All is good now. I was able to print a page from MS Word.

Hello all,

Unfortunately, the problem has returned. The black ink cartridge was low on ink. The black ink cartridge has been replaced. I followed pcpunk's instructions again. Printers & Scanners > Select the Printer > Manage. I don't see an option to set the printer as a default. Once I selected the printer and selected manage there is option for the troubleshooter. The troubleshooter will allow to make the printer to be the default printer. I applied the fix and completed the troubleshooter. Additionally, I updated the drivers from the link aldfort provided. The problem still exists. What next?

This sounds simplistic, but have you chosen the proper device when you print?  It may say Network Device, USB Device etc.  Meaning there may be more than one listed for that one printer.  Honestly I'm not super proficient with printers but have installed a few over the years with great success and some not so great.

What is below all those FAX Copies, another copy of your epson printer?  You can delete those FAX Copies if you are not using the fax function.

What if you scroll down to "Let windows manage my default printer" is that box checked or not?  Whatever it is try the opposite, but I would delete the FAX Copies first.

Hello pcpunk,

I deleted all the fax copies as I do not use them. Then as you suggested I selected the proper device from the PDF print screen. I was able to print from PDF. In all my years of using PDF I never had to use the drop-down menu to select the device. Perhaps the default changed in PDF?  Anyway, great work. Problem solved!

make sure you have the latest software & printer drivers installed from the Epson web site, which may also improve or solve most of the problems you are having with the WF-2760.

one of my relatives also owns an Epson WF-2760 all-in-one multi-function printer and I had to download & update the drivers & app software for her WF-2760 printer several months ago and it works better now.
