Thier sales man sold me router and 4 satellites

Orbi AXE11000 Quad-Band WiFi 6E Router(RBRE960), Orbi AXE11000 Quad-Band WiFi 6E Satellite (RBSE960)

The setup app is useless. PRO (PAID) support had me running and reconfiguring these things to expand 1200mbps xfinity to cover 15k sqft. home on main level and basement. After 9+ hours of phone support with 'Supervisor' the main floor gets worse speed tests than the basement which is through or around 10 feet of concrete!

Here are the speed tests as of 9pm last night:

beside router: 600DOWN/39UP

Satellite 1 (30 yds away) 31-30
Satellite 2 (60 yds away)18-15, 14-2

basement
Satellite 3 (30 yds away or line of sight below router through concrete) 200-41
Satellite 4 (60 yds away) 82-41, 10-3

Main floor has signal leaving small kitchen going through open arches with marble and carpet
Basement is solid concrete

Any ideas on how to get a stronger signal from these things that cannot be returned? They can only be returned on warranty issues now.

Thank you!

Reconfigure where they are placed or use actual POE AP's throughout the house with units placed on ceilings.

Yeah we did 9 hours of Reconfigure where they are placed. If we could afford POE AP's throughout the house with units placed on ceilings, can you suggest a model and/or resource where I could learn more about this? IDK why $2800 worth of netfear HW doesn't work as supposed to. Bought direct from them, not best buyy

Ity has zero to do with where you purchased them, it is about placement, setup, maintenance of the system side and equipment. You overpaid for something that you could pay less using something like the Engenius brand units.

@greg18 Instead of bashing  purchase decision, why not answer my question about POE AP??

This could be a situation that would be better done by a trained, experienced person. Hire a local IT contractor to come in, assess the layout of your household, then install and configure your mesh router and nodes. Mesh networking is a different setup than a conventional router with some extenders. Once in place, than you should have an established local network that you then manage and maintain through your mesh router's setup menu.

Some tasks, like determining a problem on a local network (software), might be more readily fixable using an online forum, or a chatbot, or over a phone call. But some other tasks, like installing networking devices (hardware and software), are things better done using a hands-on approach.

For POE you need Ethernet cabling to all locations that the Access Points are going to be located up on the ceiling at certain points throughout the structure for proper coverage. Buying something like a Orbi system means you are placing them where you have a power outlet and down low. Of course your coverage will be poor with placement with those devices compared to a wired POE setup.

So, two things to start with..

What speed does the built-in speedtest report?

What does the satelites report under attached devices show?
