Finally I managed to install Windows 2000, so as to have more possibilities of using the software and hardware.
I am using Windows 2000 SP4.
I have noticed that windows tries to read the floppy very often for no reason.
In fact, when I started installing programs, they crash or ask for the floppy disk.
For example I wanted to install framework 1.1, but as soon as the installation started, for some strange reason, windows started incessantly and persistently trying to read the floppy, which obviously isn't there.
Same thing, with the HP scaner 2400 program. When it almost reaches the end of the installation, incessantly and insistently try to read the floppy and then the installation crashes. In this case it gives an error. The installation is canceled. This prevents me from installing the scanner.
Why this problem? A bug?

I forgot, when windows start, as soon as I enter the desktop, it tries to read the Floppy. I didn't do this with other operating systems.

Disable the floppy in the bios.

My motherboard doesn't allow you to disable anything. It is not customizable at all.
However, I don't want to since I still use it.

I also uninstalled the floppy drive and installed on reboot. The Problem remained.

How are you installing the printer as the software shouldn't ask for a floppy.

This I know, it shouldn't and yet there is something telling it to go look in the floppy disk. This problem also occurs with other programs.

Request:
The Windows 2000 installation CD on newer PCs will boot without the use of installation boot floppies.
Now Windows 98SE and WIndows ME start without using Floppies.
Why does the WIndows 2000 Installation CD on my IBM 330 PC fail to boot, but do I have to use boot floppies?
Is there a way to make the CD boot without floppy?

Windows 2000 SP4 version 5.0.2195.6717
I don't think it's old as a version.
I also tried another ISO. It gives me the same problem. It does not start.

No, of course not, downloaded from web.archive and another from winworldpc. Both of them give the same problem. They do not start.

I used the 16X. Should I use the 4x? Which writing method? The Disc/session-at-once or Disc-at-once/96?
Finally, does Super Link have to be on or off?
