Hi.

My question is this -

I have the drive in my laptop and a spare 2.5" Hard drive which I have used to CLONE my laptop drive.

I am in the process of encrypting my laptop drive with Veracrypt. When that is finished, I will encrypt the clone drive. If I set and use the same password for both drives, will the clone still boot?

See my reply to your post in Win 10 Support. Since you do have an image of your drive on another HDD run with the image. You can then clone the image to the encrypted drive and be out of this mess. And for the future, unless you have a serious operational reason for using encryption, stay away from it !

To avoid confusion I am also closing this topic. See the Win 10 topic here -
