before I do that since I do use some extensions, will that TOTALLY disable the extensions and I will need to get them - basically what does that command do (one time or permantly removes, etc)?   If it removes them all, let me know so I can at least write down the ones I need to reinstall, etc.

Thanks for all of your work - not trying to be a "pain" but just like to know (darn curiosity!)

Sorry, I was not notified of your reply.

It will only temporarily disable the extensions and when you close and reopen the browser the extensions will be enabled automatically. I am trying to see if an extension is the problem.

after removing chrome extensions chrome seemed okay (not slow).  But also do quite a bit of my work with the extensions so the work I was able to do was limited in that fashion.

Hi Thomas.

Hopefully you Disabled the extensions rather than removed them.

Enable a few of the extensions, close and restart Chrome and check the performance. If the behavior returns then you can disable an extension, one at a time, to try to find the culprit. If, after enabling a few extension the browser continues to behave properly disable a few more.

Have you been able to troubleshoot the extensions?

well was gone from Thursday thru yesterday for a wedding out of town.

I just can't seem to isolate any one of them.  When I think there is one, like in a group of 5 of extensions, when I isolate them, not one of them seem to be slowing it down.  It is very odd - and sadly time consuming as well.  This has happened numerous times mine you as well.

Let me know if the symptoms return. There are times when simply disabling then enabling items resolves an issue.
