Hello in my macbook air (2017) with latest Monterey release the startup from a while has become longer. In particular there is a point in the middle of startup where it stops a while
Even in safe mode is slow..just, may be, a little bit faster
I have tried to check the startup app, to update os, clean adn fix the disk (which is far from being full...) don't know what else i cantry
Any help?thank you

Hi Stefancops, I can understand your frustration at the slow startup of your MacBook Air (2017). Here are a few more things you can try to troubleshoot the issue.

Reset the SMC (System Management Controller

Reset the NVRAM (Non-Volatile Random-Access Memory

Run a diagnostic test

Reinstall macOS.

i have don eall
some says that using an aftermarket ssd with adapter(as i do) can give this problem. But i have it installed from more than 1 year without problems
I know reinstall would solve..but it is a big hassle..need to save daas and reinstall all sw..Anyway if i have monterey, can i install a newer version of os. not monterey i mean?
