1. My sound stopped without warning.

2. I verified the connections and the volume settings were okay.

3. I restarted the computer and ran the troubleshooter.

4. It said "Audio device muted," and I'm wondering, "Which audio device?" and can I unmute this audio device myself in the future without running the troubleshooter.

(The sound is now working!)

Thanks in advance!

Hi, would check if was a Windows Update that caused this and if it did : https://www.windowscentral.com/how-roll-back-device-driver-windows-10 /11

From Start --> Search --> type : Sound and see what is going on.  All of the info is in there.

As well can use search for Device Manager and then in the Top Menu Click on Files and then Show Hidden Devices and look through.

Video Card Drivers have sound. could be that.
